Sustainable consumption & production: a greener world
Your impact on the earth can be measured with the ecological footprint.
If we keep on prodcuing polution like we are now by the 50 we will have to use 2 Xs more the land than we have to be able to aborb the poltions and wastes.
Today their are many products that each time hurt less and less the environmental.
They are preparing the ground for in the future be able to use sustainable things such as windmills.
The consumers must be aware of the products they are buying and how they may or may not harm the environment.
An Inconvenient Truth | Film Trailer | Participant Media
The most hot years the planet has had have all been in the past 14 years.
It is believed that we humans are destryoing our world.
If teh artic keeps on melting places such as Florida and Shangai India and Manhattan will be flooded
Our ability to live is at risk.
FLIGHT MOFFETT TO PHOENIX
a plane can be built to fly with solar energy
things such as refrigirators can be used to reduce the engery needed by half.
ARIZONA STATE UNIVERSITY: GRADUATION CEREMONY
a SOLAR PLANE IS BEING BUILT AND EXPECTED TO FLY AROUND THE WORLD BY 2015
the good things include many obstacles in the way of ACHIEVING them.
solving povery and stoping global warming is the future and is what we all have to work on.
How can we be more sustainable in bogota?
sustainable consuption in bogota.
Schools should use solar energy for all of the technology they use like computers that stundents can use at any time of the day. ALSO FOR SCREEN PROJECTORS AND TEACHERS COMPUTERS THAT ARE ON DURING THE ENTIRE DAY.
also bogota is a city with a lot of cars , a more sustainable way would be the cars being runned by solar power or people just using other transportations such as bikes , busses or the transmileneo.
teenagers in bogota should also be educated and taught about the importance of sustainablility and global warming and should be influences to do something about it.
also the market places such as carulla should have a campaign and a section with all the ecological and ENVIRONMENTAL products in it and teach costumers about it and influence them to buy from it.
my last idea for sustainablity in bogota is fr students to be requiered to take some class about sustainablilty in highschool to be able to graduate and have the credit.a class where they work with others and create campaighns about sustainable consupmtion.

Google Docs and DoctopusWhat is Google docs?Google Docs is a freeware based system that makes part of the google drive service. In Google docs you can create and edit documents online at the same time as a another person editing the same document.
One of the mayor features of Google docs is that you can edit or create a document online while another person edits the same document at the same time as you.So this is really good and useful for things like projects, group works , teachers to student corrections and many more other school works. Also you can log in into your Google account and open documents from any computer.
Some gadgets and APPS you can add to Google docs are : Stikie notes where you can place stikie notes on the sides of your Google docs like for little reminders or comments.Turtles is another one , that are some tiny cute turtles that play around your screen. Also you can add Google docs directly to your homepage. Also you can share your documents with other people so they can aslo take a look at them or edit them.Their are also many Google docs app for smartphone such as iPhone , Android , Samsung ,Blackbery and some others.
What are the features of Google docs?
Gadgets or app for Google Docs:
What is doctopus
Doctopus is a Google APP created and used mostly by teachers, that gives teachers the ability to auto-generate, pre-share, and manage grading and feedback on templates Docs for group and individual projects of students.
how do you use it?
Doctopus is very easy to use,all you have to have is a gOole account. Its basically like a excel chart in google docs and then you can install the Doctapus app ,where you can list all of your students put their work on the column next and decide who to share it with, For example only with a specif students , or the whole class or group work etc.from their you can easily grade edit revise students works and you can aslo decide if students can or ca't view other students work for things like feedback. Here is a description of the program written by the teacher who created it:https://plus.google.com/114670488345865665282/posts/UVDJXkx7pnZ
and here is a link to a video that explain very detailed how to use each little thing:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HrB23XCeocI
what would it be useful for
Doctopus is a Google app that was created by a teacher to make online revising and grading more easy and practical. So this program is most built for teacher and is also most useful for teachers top grade their students work or revise it.Even though it was made for teacher students can also use it to comment or revise and give comments to their peers work and this way they can give feedback to each other. Here is a list that the creator made explaining the flaws of Doctopus that were fixed:
Fixes and enhancements rolled in 2.1:
- Automatically add co-teacher(s) as editors on all student docs generated
- Optionally integrate with the use of per-student drop boxes (great for folks who use Teacher Dashboard or gClassFolders) using Folder ID. The script will now add the assignment to a single destination folder to ease the burdens of grading as a batch, while ALSO adding the assignment to individual student folders!
- Now embeds an easy link to assignment folder view for quickly moving through a batch of student work.
- Spreadsheet formulas are now preserved when the script is run and when embargo for grading option is run.
- No longer sets an automated time trigger to fetch last edit time. This is now a manual, menu driven process to avoid user confusion and pileups of triggers on user accounts where users don't know how to manage triggers.\
How does Docatpus realte to CNG ,
In CNG many of us use google docs all the time for diffrent class works , and teachers also use it to give us feedback on our work .Im not sure if a lot of people use doctapus at cng but they probably should because from what I learned today its a great way to revise student works and for students to give their peers feedback! Teachers at cng should probably start using doctapus and even teach us how we could also use it.

"What was the best thing about studying at GU?"
I absolutely loved studying at Georgetown and I can easily say it was the best 4 years of my life thus far. While it is hard to pick one specific thing, I would say it was all the friends I made and experiences I had. I truly feel that I not only did I grow intellectually and personally, but I had fun in the process. I wouldn't be the person I am today if not for Georgetown. I truly believe Georgetown gives you the best of both worlds---top level education and a sense of community that is hard to find in many univeristies.
"What do you think makes GU better than other colleges?"
- work-life balance (has the best of both worlds)--Ivy league caliber education yet united community behind sports teams. People work hard and play hard.
- the people are truly amazing and I have made friends for life. You learn just as mcuh from your peers as you do from you professors
- The Jesuit ideals of the university set it apart and its emphasis on "cura personalis" or cure of the entire person. In other words, Georgetown wants you to grow intellectually, emotionally, spiritually, physically, etc. It also has a strong focus on men and women for others and having an impact on the greater community.
- Georgetown is very focused on its undergrads
"Hows life at GU?"
"Why did you pick to go to GU?"
I chose Georgetown for a number of reasons and conducted very thorough college research and visits beforehand. First of all, I wanted to go the School of Foreign Service (SFS) and Georgetown has the premier and only program. Second, the university encompassed all the values I was looking for and knew it would help me grow as a person as well. Third, it was located in DC (tons of great opportunities) and was a perfect size (not too big not too small). Another reason I chose Georgetown was the sense of community I felt upon walking on campus. Students are cooperative and there isn´t the cut throat competition that you see in other places. People work together and focusing on competing with themselves. Lastly, I was incredibly impressed by the students, alumni, and professors I met and wanted to be a part of this community.
Look for pictures and qoutes about Gu
Goals Acomplished:
I am still waiting for some the people I asked que questions to respond back
I found several pictures of GU and "HOYA sAXA" qoutes that I could use for my project

Here is an article about a student who currently goes in to Georgetown , he talks about the good things about GU and attending GU and a couple of things she would change to make it even a better university.
http://www.unigo.com/georgetown_university/reviews/
This page is great , it has sevral articles written by students from GU urrently or exgraduates and it even has an option if you want to comunicate with a specific student and ask him/he questions about GU.
Many students say the GU's location is the best , its close enough to washington to not feel in the middle of nowhere but far enough to feel in a clean safe and free campus apart from the busyiness of the city.
GU has a website where some jobs advertise their companies etc. and GU students can submit an application to the job the calls their attention and the Job personal will then decide to hire the GU student or no.Their are on campus jobs and off campus.
Areas of study at GU:
Business and Economics
Education
English and Comparative Literature
Government, Politics and Policy
History
International Affairs
Law
Summary of what I learned:
The school garduates really aprciate their school , they really like it and are very proud of it. Georgetown has sevral options and oportunities for students in teh academic section as well as the athletic section.
